LOCATE INVESTIGATIONS

Requests for the location of businesses and individuals initiate for a variety of reasons.  Attorneys require locates to contact witnesses on civil and criminal matters, while individuals may request locates to re-establish friendships or to locate estranged family members.  Corporations have requested locate investigations in order to find expert witnesses on patent projects or to assist with background investigations on prospective employees and partners.  These are only a few examples and the purpose for each locate investigation is unique.

Investigations can be conducted with as little as a name; however, faster results can be obtained when any additional information is provided to the Investigator such as:

·        Social Security number

·        Date of Birth

·        Phone number (home and/or cell)

·        Previous addresses

·        Spouse’s name

·        Parent’s names

·        Children’s names

·        Names of any associates

·        Occupation

This information is particularly useful for subjects with common names such as John Smith, Jose Gonzalez, or Mary Brown.  Additional information assists the Investigator in narrowing down the volume of subjects to research further.

Subjects are identified based on the accumulation of information as compared to the initial information provided by the client.  The subject’s address and/or phone number are then confirmed through various methods applicable to the specific investigation, such as:

    • Confirmation of Subject address through property management

    • Video evidence of subject at residence

    • DMV verification of vehicle registered to subject and

    • Telephonic contact with subject
